Pav bhaji is world famous dish or perhaps king  street food from western side of maharashtra. this recipe of blend of vegetables and spiced with unique blend spices known as pav bhaji masala and served with soft bread roll aka pav.

With the popularity of this recipe, there is so many variation of pav bhaji like masala pav, pav bhaji pav ,cheese pav bhaji etc. but my personal favorite has always been extra butter tossed pav bhaji, this recipe is my all time favorite. but i wish one day i go mumbai streets and taste this popular recipe of mumbai, its always on my top of my wish list. 




Furthermore some important tips and recommendations and serving street style pav bhaji, firstly more fresh and flavored pav bhaji masala very crucial and hard recipe and its also time taken recipe its take some extra time to prepare, first tips is always use fresh veggies, secondly you can skip food color, you can replace with kashmiri lal mirch for color and taste third tip is you can skip some veggies like gobi beans, grated cheddar cheese, lastly i would highly recommend  the pav of pav bhaji toasted with butter and bhaji its give too taste in toasted pav.

Ingredients :-


2 Tbsp Butter 

3 Tomato (Finely Chopped)

1/4 Tsp Peas (Matar)

1 Capsicum (Finely Chopped)

3 Potato Boiled/Mashed 

1 Onion (Finely Chopped)  

1 Carrot (Finely Chopped) 

1 Cabbage (Finely Chopped) (Optional)  

1 Green Chilli 

2 Tsp Oil 

Salt to Taste 

1/2 Tsp Kashmiri Red Chill Powder 

1/4 Tsp Turmeric (Haldi Powder) 

1/2 Tsp  Pav Bhaji Masala 

3 Tbsp Coriander  Leaves (Finley Chopped)

1 Tsp Ginger & Garlic Paste 

1/2 Lemon Juice 

Water According to Adjusted Consistency  


For Pav Toast : -

8 Pav/ Bread Roll 

4 Tsp Butter 

1/2 Tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder  
 
1/2 Tsp  Pav Bhaji Masala 

4 Tsp Coriander leaves (Finely Chopped)  

How to make Pav bhaji  with step by step 


1. Firstly take pressure cooker, heat 2 tbsp butter and add Vegetables, cook and mash well 

2. After well mashed vegetables take large kadhai and add 3 tbsp butter and oil 

3. Add ginger/garlic paste, add onion, green Chili and suate until smells good, take care not to burn.

4. Add 3 tomato and add salt and and cook well 

5. After tomato cooked add boiled veggies, chilli powder, turmeric, pav bhaji masala, Mix well and add some  water, mix well and cooked for 10 mintues until its not thick. 

6. After that add chopped coriander leaves and  lemon juice. 

7. For pav take a pan and add 1/2 tsp Butter and heat, kashmiri  red chili powder, pav bhaji masala  and coriander.

8. Roast both sides till thry sightly warm and light brown.

9. Finally its ready to serve with onion and lemon
