1. first tip is i would recommended using medium sized semolina\sooji\rava, do not use thin sized rava it can mess up the batter. 

2. The choices of toppings can be varied and you can mix up any choice of vegetable and ensue you chopped this vegetable very finely so can be easily topped in rava pancake.

3.  lastly i would recommend shape your utaapam mini sized  so you can make upset easily.

Ingredients :- 

For batter :

1 cup rava/ sooji/ samolina/1.5 bowl rava

1/2 cup curd / 1/2 bowl curd 

Salt - acoording to taste 

1/2 cup water /1 bowl water 

For toppings 

 1 onion - finely chopped 

 1 medium sized capsicum - finely chopped

 1 medium sized carrot - finely chopped 

 1 medium sized tomato - finely chopped 
 
 2 tbsp coriander - finely chopped 

 1 chilli - finely chopped 

 3/4 tbsp - salt 

 Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp 

 

How to make rava uttapam recipe step by step with photos 

1. firstly take a large bowl and take 1 cup rava or 1/2 cup curd/yougurt. 








2. Mix well together both ingredients and put salt (according to taste) and for contencienty maintan add 1/2 cup water mix well. 




3. Rest rava batter for 15-20 minutes until rava absorb well.


4. After 20 mintues rest check the consesitency if required add more water.


5. Take another large bowl and prepare for toppings take 1 finely chopped onion,1 medium sized capsicum, 1 medium sized carrot, 1 inch grated ginger,1 chilli finely chopped,1 finely chopped tomato,1 tbsp coriander, add salt to taste and add 3/4 tsp chaat masala (optional),1/4 tsp red chilli powder.







6. Mix all vegetables combined well.


7. Now pour the rava batter into a small mini uttapam. 


8. And top the prepared vegetable mixture and press gentle. 


9. Pour 1 tsp oil around the uttapam. And cover the uttapam and cook for 1 minute 


10. After 1 minute fill over and cooked both sides. 


11. After cooked both side take plate and serve hot yummy mini uttapam with coconut chutney or tomato sauce.
